Car Show Boise – One of the top car owners praises the New family for making the show the best in the world
BOISE, Idaho – The annual Boise Roadster Show celebrates its 50th anniversary this week. The show takes place Friday through Sunday at noon at Expo Idaho, featuring the world’s hottest hot rods.

The Roadster Show was created by the New family who own Firebird Raceway. Tim Kerrigan is a showman who grew up around 1950’s hot rods. His garage has about 20 of the hottest hot rods you’ll ever see.

“What I love about it…it just takes me back to high school, doesn’t it?” laments Kerrigan. “High school was the best time of my life and it just takes me back there.”
Kerrigan is bringing three 1929 Ford Model A sedans to this year’s Roadster Show and says the New Family has created something special with the annual event.
“It’s amazing what they’re doing in the Boise area,” says Kerrigan. “Not only with her towline, but with this show. It’s one of the biggest shows. I mean, because of The New Family, people are going to come from Southern California and all over the country to do this show. They are amazing.”
Kerrigan says her favorite part of The Roadster Show is talking to people and children. “It’s fun,” he says. “There are things you’ll never see on this show, and it’s fun. And you can come by and have your picture taken with any of the cars. The kids love them.” The 50th Annual O’Reilly Auto Parts Boise Roadster Show is back on Friday through Sunday, March 10th, 11th and 12th.

We are delighted to welcome back special guest Chip Foose in person at this year’s Roadster Show. The famous architect, producer and star is very popular in his TV series. From 2004 to the present, popular shows like “Overhaulin'” have aired. If you haven’t had a chance yet, be sure to read more about Chip and his great work on his website.
To celebrate our golden anniversary once again in 2023, we can’t wait to see what our friends at Kindig-It Design have in store for us in March. Both KevDogg and Will will be there, along with special models from the TV show. Show on Motor Trend’s Bitchin’ Rides channel.
The Kindig-It team has been supporting the Roadster Show for years. In fact, they began competing in major motorsport events in Idaho as early as 2006. Over the years they have brought special designs such as “Maybelline” 1958 Lincoln Continental, 1964 Cadillac Coupe Deville for Olympic champion Apollo Ono; a 1934 Dodge Brothers sedan; 1967 Boss Mustang; a 1947 Cadillac convertible; and the “Copper Caddy” 1960 Cadillac to name a few.

We can’t wait to see what the Kindig-It design empire choose for our 50th anniversary show.
As the premier motor sport event in Idaho, the event will fill all three buildings at the Expo Idaho indoor center.
Everyone who takes part in the show will receive an award. The highest award at the Roadster Show is known coast to coast as the Goldmark. Goldmark goes to places considered “best”. Goldmark wins a cash prize as well as a decorative jacket and a special prize statue. Essence of Cool, Trendsetter, Wild One, Fire Rod, Mighty Fine, Tompkins Cup, Jack’s Pick, KRS Pick and more will also be featured at the awards ceremony.
At the Roadster Show each March, New Family will also announce the winner of the Master Builder award. This special recognition plaque is awarded to someone who has helped inspire, shape and make the Roadster Show a better event year after year.
