Whats 10 Of 70 – 70 20 10 learning model. What is this: how did it get there? How does it apply to learning and development? What is the 70 20 10 model?
The 70 20 10 learning model (also 70:20:10) is the guiding principle for all development activities. It looks at the percentages that suggest how to learn to achieve a better “learning mix”, also known as “blended learning”.
Whats 10 Of 70
This is also known as the learning model; 70 20 10 Development Plan, 10 20 70, 70 20 10 Principle and 70 20 10 Regulation. All the terms refer to the same thing, the 70 20 10 learning model.

The risk in the model’s approach is that it assumes 10% doesn’t matter. However, ‘formal’ training is essential to ensure a ‘learning mix’ as people need to learn from all 3. Structured learning (10%), lectures (20%) and “on the job” (70%). 10% is important because, for example, a partner in a large company will be as good at time management as their peers without an external teacher.
In the MBM team’s experience, our example of living the model became HBDI ® professionals. 10% of formal training comes from HBDI ® team training, 20% from peer support and 70% from HBDI including team building events, executive coaching and our own team development, and then becoming a regular:
This learning model is still a hot topic in the world of learning and development and training. Interestingly, it started to be searched on Google in May 2007 (see the graph below) to coincide with the CPD podcast, the head of international education and development, a news agency and others late: 70 20 10 forum. .
The podcast was about the role of line managers in learning and development (L&D). Charles said. “At my own company, we have invested in our 70/20/10 approach to learning. And that’s what research tells us, about 70% of people in professional learning organizations are learning to do their jobs, they’re learning on the job. 20%, learn through their network, coaching, etc. 10% study publicly.

It was the beginning of the Center for Creative Leadership. Summarized by McCall, Lombardo, and Morrison in Experiential Learning (1988, Lexington Press)—although the phrase 70 20 10 never appears in the book. McCall, Lombardo, and Morrison sought to understand aspects of executive success. They asked 191 successful executives to answer the following question.
Please identify at least 3 major events that have changed the way you manage now. 1) What happened? and 2) what did you learn from it (good or bad)?
Lombardo and Eichinger summarized their results in The Architect Career Planner (1996: Lominger Press) as learned by successful and effective managers.
Educational psychologist Alan Tow is another originator of this learning model that many often cite. Although it has come to the conclusion that “70 percent of adult learning takes place outside of institutions.”

As Kajewski and Masden (2012) recently set out to trace the origins of a learning model from Deakin University in Australia, the above sources are often cited, and there is a lack of certainty about the actual situation.
Although there is no concrete evidence and consensus on the origin, what we cannot deny is that the model has achieved high efficiency and organizations are following the principles of learning in formal and informal situations.
The L&D community was divided over the model’s origins, and perhaps Charles Jennings instinctively took a director who ran with it. Perhaps it took off because the L&D community needed a simple model that confirmed their sense that learning happens across the board, not just in the classroom. An ‘other theory’ that has emerged is the Pontefract 33:33:33 model, which is worth understanding.
It is important to provide students with a learning mix. No longer should the student view learning as something exclusive to classroom learning. A personal development program should include all elements. example –

Sticky Learning ® is a unique training method developed by the MBM team because we resent the limited impact of one-day training sessions. This was one of the models we used to design Sticky Learning.
Every MBM training course has a foundation date and an advanced date 6 months later. During these two days, 6 months apart, the student completes sticky notes. Each sticker is a task that the student completes while working and encourages them to create their new habit.
Additionally, each student attends a 1/2 day “learning to learn” training session prior to participating in MBM training sessions. We designed this 1/2 day to help the student understand how to learn more, faster and easier and the value of these models to learn and get a better return on time investment.
In a learn-to-learn training course, each student is asked to pair up with another student. This will be their study buddy and in L&D terms this will provide 20% of this learning model because the study buddies are structured how often to meet according to the Ebbinghaus forgetting curve. A forgetting curve shows when students are more likely to “drop out.”

70% of our experiential learning students are sticky bits that they complete between a core course and an advanced training course. Each sticker encourages the student to apply what they have learned.
Dave Ulrich, a professor of business administration at the University of Michigan, believes the traditional formula should increase the focus on training and learning outside of work. It suggests the following ratio.
The key focus here is on what Ulrich calls ‘tourist education’ towards an integrated approach. Moreover, it is emphasized that organizations that promote charitable work should benefit from the general training and development of high-potential employees.
Our friends at The Good Practice wrote a great article called A New Look at this model that is well worth a read.

She loves human behavior and helping people become the best version of themselves. 10 percent of 70 is equal to 7. It can be easily calculated by dividing 10 by 100 and multiplying the answer by 70 to get 7.
The easiest way to find this answer is to solve a simple percentage math problem. You should get 10% out of 70 for sales or real life problems. Divide 10 by 100, multiply the answer by 70 and get 10% of 70 in seconds.
This article explains the process of finding any percentage value from any quantity or number in simple and easy steps.
The percentage can be understood with a simple explanation. Take 70 and divide it into 100 equal parts. 10 parts of a total of 100 parts are called 10 percent, which is 7 in this example.

This percentage can be plotted on a pie chart for visualization. Let’s say the total pie chart represents the value 70. Now we get 10 percent of 70, which is 7. The space occupied by 7 values represents 10 percent of the total 70 values. The rest of the pie chart represents 90 percent of the total 70 values. 100% of 70 covers the entire pie chart because 70 is the total value.
Any number or amount can be expressed as a percentage to better understand the overall amount. A percentage can be thought of as a quantity that divides any number into hundred equal parts to better represent and understand large numbers.
A percentage scale or normality is a very simple and convenient way to represent numbers relatively. Relatively speaking, such signs are widely used in many industrial sectors
